Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
Today, a number of Palestinians were suffocated as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' suppression of the weekly demonstration against the settlement of Kafr Qaddum, calling for the opening of the village street, which has been closed for 17 years, east of Qalqilya in the West Bank.
Wafa news agency quoted the coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, Murad Shteiwi, as saying: The occupation forces stormed the village and fired poison gas canisters at the participants in the demonstration, which resulted in a number of them suffocating.
The village of Kafr Qaddum is witnessing continuous demonstrations against the occupation on Friday and Saturday, which have become part of public life in the village, whose lands are devoured by the Apartheid Wall and settlement.
