At a business meeting on Irschenberg, politics during the corona pandemic were discussed - often without a mask.
Now the district office is checking.
Irschenberg / Miesbach
- The business meeting that took place on Saturday in the Dinzler coffee roastery in Irschenberg is making waves.
On the one hand, there are the clear demands in the direction of politics that Dinzler boss Franz Richter had summarized, but there is also a lot of displeasure that the meeting took place - despite Corona.
And, as the photos and film sequences show, often without masks.
One of whom questions and allegations are addressed is District Administrator Olaf von Löwis (CSU).
Even in yesterday's environmental committee, he was confronted with the - thematically unrelated - demand from the ranks of the district councils as to how such a blatant violation of the Corona rules could happen.
Corona: Assembly in Irschenberg - No official approval required
Löwis frankly admits that the meeting of entrepreneurs also surprised him.
"Especially in times when citizens are confronted with enormous restrictions on their social contacts in their professional and private lives, such events must be very well founded," states the district administrator.
He emphasized that the district office did not approve the event because no approval was required.
The “business meeting” was legally permissible - according to Article 8 of the Basic Law, which guarantees freedom of assembly.
According to Löwis, this includes any local gathering of several people for joint discussion or demonstration aimed at participating in the formation of public opinion.
Business meeting during corona lockdown: mask compulsory
However, there are a few rules for gatherings in closed rooms, which are specified in Section 7 of the 11th Bavarian Vaccine Protection Ordinance: a maximum of 100 people, at least 1.5 meters away and a mask requirement.
And the latter was demonstrably not consistently enforced.
Violation of the mask requirement at the meeting at Irschenberg - proceedings threaten
Especially since, in addition to the open letter with many signatures, there is also an eleven-minute video of the meeting in Irschenberg on the Internet, which not only offers a camera panning over the audience at the beginning, but also Richter's speech, who wishes: “Hopefully it will bend CDU sharply right, makes the AfD superfluous and ideally governs with the FDP.
Then, only then do I see a really positive future. "
