While its future, since the creation of the Stellantis group (resulting from the PSA-Fiat-Chrysler merger) is on everyone's lips, Alfa Romeo is changing by small touches the only two models remaining in its catalog: the Giulia sedan and the SUV Stelvio designed on the same platform propulsion Giorgio.
It's not nothing.
The Giulia sees its CO2 emissions drop by 28 grams per kilometer to now emit 167 g / km.
In its 280 hp version, the sedan therefore sees its penalty drop from € 9,468 to € 2,544.

To achieve this result, the Italian engineers relied on proven recipes.
The underbody of the car is thus entirely streamlined for the benefit of aerodynamics.
This is certainly not in the direction of an improvement in performance, but the 8-speed automatic transmission sees its staging lengthened.
It is, however, capable of reaching 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds.
Dynamism and sportiness

At the same time, the internal frictions of the 2-liter 4-cylinder have been reduced and the MultiAir system has benefited from a new setting.
Finally, the Giulia 280 hp adopts low rolling resistance tires.
The essential has been preserved.
A line that has not aged a bit and a behavior that remains a model of its kind in terms of dynamism and sportiness.
As with Ferrari, you always start the engine by pressing a button on the steering wheel.
The symphony of the 2 liters is not that of a Maranello mechanic but the sensations are pleasant especially with the Dynamic mode which changes the intonation of the voice, hardens the steering and firms the suspension.
The infotainment system with a larger screen and now touchscreen, the quality of materials revised upwards and the battery of electronic driving aids finally convince to rediscover this Italian sedan.
