, by Romanian Radu Jude, the jury of the 71st Berlinale wanted to give a semblance of normality in these abnormal times.
It awarded the most unlikely film of the competition, continuing a long-established tradition in the German capital.

In this period of pandemic, the Berlinale had yet innovated by choosing a virtual edition, offering the press and industry to view the works online from March 1 to 5 - screenings for the public are scheduled for next June.
It was therefore from Paris that we discovered Radu Jude's new feature film, awarded by a jury made up of former Golden Bear winners little known for their sense of humor - Ildikó Enyedi (Hungary ), Nadav Lapid (Israel), Adina Pintilie (Romania), Mohammad Rasoulof (Iran), Gianfranco Rosi (Italy) and Jasmila Žbanić (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Jude is doing even better than in 2015, when he won the Silver Bear for Best Director
