Several German companies have now announced their help to solve the vaccination backlog.
But the federal government has so far reacted only hesitantly to this offer.
Corona vaccinations: companies want to be part of the solution
On Friday, several German corporations such as Allianz, Adidas, Deutsche Post, Deutsche Telekom, Siemens and Axel Springer want to submit a proposal to the federal government at a top-level meeting in order to be able to contribute to the faster processing of the national vaccination program *.

The current vaccination backlog is likely to meet with great incomprehension among many companies.
While too few cans were initially delivered, a third, i.e. 3.5 million cans of the 10.4 million cans delivered, are now unused in the refrigerators.
The reasons given were repeatedly the excessive demands of the health authorities and the bad reputation of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
According to Chancellor Angela Merkel *, the number will soon rise to ten million per week - but there is still a long way to go.
Around 205,000 doses are currently being administered.
Many companies therefore want to be part of a broad vaccination strategy *.
Oliver Bäte, CEO of Allianz, wants to offer employees at all major locations in Germany a vaccination offer.
"For this we are planning to set up up to 25 vaccination lines on our company premises".
Vaccination strategy: A company is already part of the vaccination campaign
So far, there have been a few exceptions among companies that are included in the federal government's vaccination strategy.
Siemens, for example, has been providing company doctors for two months to support the work in the vaccination centers.
The company said: "Although the existing capacities of company doctors are significantly lower compared to those in the area of resident doctors, every possible potential should be used to accelerate the corona vaccinations".
Adidas boss Kasper Rorsted also wants to actively contribute his company to the federal government's vaccination campaign.
"We're already doing it today with the flu vaccination".
Rorsted even goes one step further and wants to support other companies with their vaccination campaigns.
In addition to many companies, employers' associations are also forced to act.

Corona vaccination dough: Federal government reacts hesitantly to offer from companies
The federal government has so far reacted extremely cautiously to the offer of the companies.
Before the summit on Friday, there were no concrete plans or measures to involve the companies quickly and in the long term.
One draft only states that company doctors and companies should become part of the German vaccination strategy "in the course of the second quarter".
It remains to be seen whether the companies' suggestions will be heard.
The top meeting scheduled for Friday has now been canceled at short notice and postponed to an as yet unknown alternative date.
