Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko announced the completion of the second phase of clinical trials of the new "Sputnik Light" vaccine.
"The second phase of clinical trials of the" Sputnik Light "vaccine has been completed, and the results have been sent to experts for evaluation," Russia Today reported, quoting Murashko.
On the 27th of last February, the Russian Direct Investment Fund submitted an application to register the "Sputnik Light" vaccine and began vaccinating volunteers with the drug in Moscow.
The "Sputnik Light" vaccine was prepared by specialists at the Russian Gamalia Center with the aim of creating immunity against Covid 19 with one dose instead of two doses. The director of the center, Alexander Ginsberg, confirmed that this vaccine will prevent the Corona virus for a maximum period of five months, while allowing the "Sputnik V" vaccine that he developed Gamalia also gains immunity for up to two years.
