The deployment of optical fiber in France is a Janus.
The smiling side shows the rapid deployment of the new telecoms network, with consumer adoption skyrocketing.
10.4 million households are now subscribed to fiber out of a total of 24.2 million connectable.
But there is a darker side.
For several months, the difficulties have been piling up.
About 20% of connections from a new subscriber result in difficulties.
The causes are varied: missed appointments, installation work at home that cannot be carried out, inability of the worker to make the connection.
