A fire broke out in a tenement building in Yau Ma Tei.

In the early morning of Saturday (6th), a 9-storey tenement building on Xin Reclamation Street suddenly caught fire in one of the units on the first floor. The whole building was densely smoked. Half a hundred residents escaped in a hurry, and some people rushed to the roof. To be rescued.

Firefighters arrived and raised the ladder to rescue several residents. Later, a man's body was found in the building's stairs and 11 others were injured, including one unwell firefighter.

The incident occurred at 5:13 in the morning today (6th). One of the units on the first floor suddenly caught fire. The whole building was filled with smoke. A large number of residents woke up from their sleep and called the police for help. At least 50 people were evacuated, some of whom were evacuated. The firefighters arrived at the report and used two breathing apparatus teams and two jets to fight the blaze. They raised a ladder to rescue a number of residents, including the unit on the fire on the upper floor, and rescued 2 South Asian women; they also had arms. Male residents with infants must board an ambulance for inspection after successfully escaping.

The firefighter later found a man's body in the stairs of the building; 11 people were also injured, including a firefighter who was unwell and sent to hospital.

The fire was put out at 6:32 am, and the authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire.
