District weekend, sunny weather forecasts and upcoming easing of the lockdown from Monday: The police in the district are preparing for two days of intensive use.

In order to sensitize people to the fact that the previous version of the vaccination protection regulation still applies, the police headquarters of Upper Bavaria South has instructed its departments to ask the districts for assistance.

The disaster control at the district office in Miesbach complied with this request.

In a circular mail to the cities and municipalities, it is pointed out that according to the current legal status, the operation and use of sports halls, sports fields, fitness studios, dance schools and other sports facilities is prohibited, as is the operation of fixed leisure facilities.

The background to this is the experience of the past few weeks, as a spokesman for the Presidium told our newspaper at the request of our newspaper.

Accordingly, the police have received many calls from neighbors that a large number of people have met on football fields and at skate facilities, for example.

Motorcycling is also prohibited

The police pointed out that the officers had to report such violations - the request to “turn a blind eye” could not be complied with.

This is all the more true for large gatherings.

Overall, the police headquarters point out that it is still forbidden within the framework of the Vaccination Protection Ordinance to stay outdoors without a valid reason.

This is aimed primarily at motorcyclists who now take one or two joyrides at the start of the season.

Here, too, the police must intervene.

The municipalities and sports clubs are now asked to secure their sports and leisure facilities for the weekend in such a way that the ban on use is recognizable.

In addition to signs, this can be implemented with construction fences or streaks.
