In November last year, a confirmed person went to the "Baba Le Club Nostalgic Sing and Dance" in Tsim Sha Tsui and attended the birthday party of the 100 people. The Home Affairs Department stated that because the person in charge of the venue was involved in violations of the time between September and November last year. According to the instructions in Chapter 599F, the Licensing Authority today (5th) applied for a subpoena to be issued to the end of the law, prosecuting the person in charge of the Baccalaureate and the customers hosting the birthday party, including the birthday party being charged with a violation of the gathering order. It will also investigate whether the guests have violated the gathering restriction order and the mask order, or will issue a ticket to them.

According to the Civil Affairs Bureau, according to the investigation, the person in charge of the venue was involved in violating the relevant regulations and instructions issued by the Secretary of Food and Sanitation in accordance with Chapter 599F during September and November last year, including failing to take all reasonable steps to ensure that all People at the venue wear masks; live performances are allowed in the premises. Some performers do not wear masks and are not effectively separated from guests or audiences.

In addition, a customer held a party of 100 people on November 16 last year and was suspected of violating the Chapter 599G prohibition on group gatherings.

According to the department, after reviewing the information, the Licensing Office has applied to the court to issue two subpoenas to the person in charge of the premises, and to issue a subpoena to the customer hosting the birthday party. The case will be arranged for trial in the court.

The Licensing Office is continuing to contact all members of the club to verify those who visited the site in November last year to investigate whether they have violated the epidemic prevention regulations.



The OLA will issue a fixed penalty notice to the offender. If the person cannot be contacted, it will consider further legal action, wanted and/or prosecution of the person.

The Licensing Authority emphasized that it will continue to actively take stringent enforcement actions and step up inspections throughout the territory.

A 67-year-old housewife living in Haiba New Village, Tsuen Wan, attended a birthday party at the "Ban Le Club Nostalgic Song and Dance" in Tsim Sha Tsui on November 16. Many people gathered and danced social dance activities on that day.

Since then, there have been a number of dance-related cases, and the government gazetted that people who have visited 14 dance studios, including the Wan Chai Starlight Dance Club and the Baku, will be subject to compulsory testing within a specified period of time.
