In Washington, the State Department says the government of Joe Biden "
strongly opposes
" this investigation, but clarified that it is "
reviewing
" the sanctions taken during the presidency of Donald Trump against Fatou Bensouda and others. officials of international jurisdiction, considered by the former American leaders as fundamentally hostile to Israeli interests.
The ICC "
took a decision which is the very essence of anti-Semitism and hypocrisy,
" responded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"
We will stand up for every soldier, every officer, every civilian and I promise you that we will fight for the truth until this outrageous decision is overturned,
" he said.
