More than 20 people were killed and dozens were injured today in a terrorist car bombing in Somalia.
Reuters quoted the official in the Ameen Ambulance Service, Abdul Qadir Adan Service, as saying that at least 20 people were killed by a car bomb that rocked the Somali capital, adding that 20 dead and 30 wounded were taken from the site of the explosion.
The attack took place outside a Yemeni restaurant near the port in Mogadishu. Official media and San in the area reported that a shooting followed the explosion that covered the area with a cloud of smoke.
The official Mogadishu Radio stated that the explosion also resulted in property losses and that the police cordoned off the area.
No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
The Somali capital and other regions in the country are witnessing bombings and attacks, most of which are attributed to the extremist youth movement linked to the Al Qaeda terrorist organization.
