This evening, sit-ins and protests were renewed in a number of Lebanese regions against the backdrop of the continuing deterioration of the economic and living conditions in the country.

The traffic control room of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces indicated that protesters cut off the international Dahr Al-Baidar road connecting Syria, the Bekaa and Beirut.

The National News Agency reported that protesters also blocked the Tarshish Zahle highway in both directions, in addition to cutting off traffic on the Jabli roundabout in Baalbek in both directions, and lit tires on the Zouk Mosbeh road that connects to Tripoli in northern Lebanon. Protesters are also the international road linking the Bekaa to the south at the Souq al-Khan point, Hasbaya district.

In Sidon, protesters blocked the road opposite the Zaatari Mosque and torched tires.

The protesters blocked the road at the Corniche al-Bahri near the Sidon municipality's fire station, and the security forces tried to open the road, and they defended and closed several roads in Beirut and Tripoli in the north of Lebanon.

Since October 17, 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins to protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions and to demand the fight against corruption in the country.
