The emergency services were able to quickly bring the fire on the first floor under control.

Since it was not yet clear at this point whether there were any more residents in the house, the rescuers also gained access to the other apartments, but found no other person.

The firefighters only discovered a cat in the room next to the fire room and brought it outside unharmed.

After the extinguishing work, experts from the Ansbach criminal police took over the investigation.

Based on initial findings, it can be assumed that the fire also broke out on the first floor.

However, it is still unclear what the trigger was.

The police estimate the financial damage at around 150,000 euros.
