The small deer of the Horseshoe Deer family is in serious danger of extinction, due to the elimination of its natural habitats.

The Spanish Zoo is taking part in an international effort to save the rare species.

The little puppy was born weighing 100 grams, and is the tenth individual born at the zoo, with only 43 species of the species living in all of Europe.

Videos uploaded on the Internet about the little deer read that "this is the smallest deer in the world. It weighs a total of 1.8 kg." In adulthood, the sexes reach a length of 56-45 cm, and their tail length is 5 cm.

In these dialects the males use in their struggles other males.

In the past, these animals were used as pets, as a source of meat and their unique skin was used to make bags.

The lifespan of an adult individual is 12 years.

It is important to note that this is an animal on the UN Red List and because of its size, natural shyness and difficulty in documenting it in the wild, it is difficult to know how many of its details are still alive in the wild. For those who want to preserve the animal world around us.
