The Sham Shui Po Bishop’s Hill Reservoir, which has been hidden underground for more than 100 years, was accidentally exposed earlier. The Antiquities Office plans to list it as a first-class historical building. The Ancient Advisory Council will hold a meeting next Thursday (11th) to discuss it.
According to the document of the Antiquity Advisory Council, the Antiquities Office recommends that the Bishop Mountain Service Reservoir and the former Yau Ma Tei Service Reservoir of King's Park in Yau Ma Tei be listed as first-class historical buildings; in addition, it is recommended that the steps of Pang Kok Lane, Xiying, be classified as second-class historical buildings.
