The number of labor leave is in line with the number of public holidays (commonly known as bank holidays) other than Sundays.
A spokesman for the Labour Department pointed out that the new five-day statutory holiday is a public holiday that is not currently a statutory holiday and is gradually listed as a labor holiday in the following order: Buddha’s Birthday, the first Sunday after Christmas, Easter Monday , Good Friday and the day following Good Friday.
