To speed up the vaccination campaign, the department is benefiting from new stocks. Two supplementary vaccination centers open

With 4,475 new cases of Covid-19 in a week, according to the latest counts, as of March 3, Val-d'Oise continues to turn scarlet red on the map of the epidemic.

But the accelerator boost for vaccination, announced by the government, became concrete this weekend.

This weekend, two new ephemeral vaccination centers will inject doses in Cergy and Sannois.

In total, 5,000 vaccines are planned for Val-d'Oise this weekend.

We must indeed act quickly.

"In the space of a week, forty people died in the Val-d'Oise as a result of the disease", indicates the prefecture.

“And 45 patients are currently in intensive care, or nearly 78% of the department's total intensive care capacity.

On Wednesday, the incidence rate peaked at 358 from 284 on February 20.

Val-d'Oise: the Covid vaccination centers are (already) full

The priority is therefore to protect the most vulnerable to the disease.

In Cergy-Pontoise, since January 18, 2,616 people have already received a first injection in one of the two open vaccination centers (in the Cordeliers district in Pontoise and at the Linandes medical center in Cergy).

The schedule is already full!

During the weekend, they should be 600 more.

The city of Cergy has urgently fitted out a gymnasium in the city on Thursday to transform it into a supplementary vaccination center.

Barnums, tables, chairs and signage were installed by municipal officials with the help of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 95).

From 10 a.m. on Friday, a switchboard was put into service to allow anyone over 75 years of age or vulnerable patients to make an appointment.

By 4 p.m. the same day, the schedule was already full.

Only those who have registered will be able to receive a dose of Pfizer.

Lest people without an appointment show up anyway, the city prefers not to disclose the exact address of the center.

Sannois, who had applied to host a vaccination center, will exceptionally open a temporary site at the Cyrano center this Sunday.

216 doses will thus be injected to people who had registered at the medico-social center for the vaccibus (device intended to take seniors to vaccination centers) and who were awaiting an appointment.

These were notified directly.

1,300 additional doses of Astrazeneca vaccine

“We already had the listings, but it's a hell of a lot of logistics,” explains Agnès Ricard-Hibon, municipal councilor responsible for health.

We still have people waiting.

The more we vaccinate vulnerable populations, the better.

The objective is to reduce the pressure on the hospital system ”.

For the elected, also director of Samu 95, the situation in the Paris region "is becoming extremely tense".

The Gonesse hospital was granted an additional stock of 1,300 doses of Astrazeneca vaccine this weekend as well.

To sell them, the vaccination center has opened new slots over three days, until Sunday evening, according to exceptionally extended hours until 9 p.m.

By late Friday afternoon, almost all of these new doses had already found takers.
