Self-test students: "Just once a week is not a solution"

Jens Spahn did what he does best in the Bundestag on Thursday morning: he switched to forward defense.
He was "grateful" that the federal and state governments followed his suggestions in the chancellor's round with the prime ministers, he said.
As far as the subject of rapid tests is concerned, the ailing Federal Minister of Health is likely to be pretty much alone with this self-confident view.
In fact, the night before, the group had left little of Spahn's original ideas.
Free rapid tests for everyone have not been available since March 1, as the minister announced two weeks ago.
The project will not start until next Monday, and Spahn has already pointed out as a precaution that the tests would not be immediately available everywhere.
The federal and state governments now want to implement their new strategy by the beginning of April and "gradually"; this also applies to the weekly quick tests for schoolchildren, teachers and educators.
The paper only mentions a few lines of self-tests at home, which Spahn wanted to make available to everyone with an intended contribution of one euro.
