Elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia seized a dairy and cheese manufacturing plant containing “shorting” vegetable butter, which is used in the manufacture of dairy and cheese in addition to practicing the profession without obtaining the necessary licenses.
In a statement to which Sanaa received a copy, the directorate stated that its personnel organized the necessary seizures in the laboratory, took samples to analyze them and find out their conformity with the standard specifications, waxed the facility with red wax, and referred the seizure to the appropriate court.
In Deir Al-Zour, the Consumer Protection patrols in the Internal Trade Directorate organized, during the day and yesterday, 15 supply controls in bakeries for violations related to non-compliance with work hours and the production of poorly made bread approved for refraining from selling bread and its approval was revoked.
The seizures also included violations of trading in subsidized materials with diesel, showing illegal invoices, failing to announce prices, and possessing expired materials.
