Last month, the Directorate of Health Affairs in Damascus Governorate organized 907 violations and closures against owners of restaurants and food shops who violate health conditions.

And the 907 seizures organized by the health control patrols during their daily rounds to the markets include 846 violations and 61 closures, as the violations were distributed among 374 for lack of health cards and inspection books, 279 for filth seizures and 175 for non-compliance with health conditions instructions, according to what the director of health affairs in the province, Dr. Shady Khalouf to the representative of Sana today.

Khallouf indicated that the 61 closures of restaurants and shops were distributed among 21 due to the presence of corrupt materials, 12 for not accepting a sample, 10 expired materials and general filth, 10 for not wearing masks and gloves, 4 for displaying materials outside the stores and 4 for not implementing the warnings directed to them by the owners, indicating that the control patrols had withdrawn 90 A sample of foodstuffs for analysis in accredited laboratories and to ensure that they comply with the required specifications.

Khallouf stressed the importance of the owners of restaurants and food stores adhering to health conditions in order to preserve public health and safety, calling on citizens to call 127 in the event of any complaint to follow up on it and to take legal action against violators.
