According to a recent survey by FeWo-direkt among 1,500 parents, 27 percent can imagine going back to Germany before the summer holidays.
For many Germans, doing without the long-awaited family break is not an option.

travel within Germany this year

More than a quarter are already counting on the second quarter for their next family trip in this country and thus support the demand of the tourism industry for a concrete opening strategy.
Corona: Holidays abroad are also an option in 2021
70 percent
of those surveyed also consider a
vacation outside the German national borders in 2021 to be realistic
.
Around every sixth person even believes that they can travel abroad with their families between April and June.
The majority of German families (57 percent) would accept a vaccination against Covid-19 as a prerequisite for entering certain holiday countries.
40 percent want to get vaccinated as soon as possible anyway.
Another 17 percent would accept the vaccination offer if the vaccination were a condition for a vacation abroad.
Traveling despite the corona pandemic: Berliners are particularly optimistic
The residents of the capital are particularly confident: more than one in three families from Berlin (35 percent) assume that they will be able to travel across Germany again in the spring.
A quarter (26 percent) are confident that holidays abroad will then be possible again.

Holiday destinations in 2021: where are Germans going?
In addition to a large number of travel destinations in Germany, some Germans definitely want to travel abroad - above all to Tyrol, the Balearic Islands or the Croatian peninsula of Istria.
