The US space agency NASA announced that the Perseverance probe has made its first test flight on the surface of Mars.
American media quoted NASA as saying in a statement .. "The probe, as part of the experiment, traveled 4 meters forward, turned 150 degrees, and then walked about two and a half meters to the back."
"When the scientific activity of the probe will start, we expect that it will pass about 200 meters or more each time," the agency added in its statement.
The Perseverance probe had made a successful landing in the Jezero crater on the surface of Mars on February 18, at the end of a journey that had continued since last July.
