Sit-ins and road blocks renewed in Beirut and some Lebanese regions today, in protest against the deteriorating living conditions.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that a number of protesters gathered in Riad El-Solh Square in central Beirut and set off in a demonstration to the Ministry of Economy, the Banking Association, and the Bank of Lebanon, and then to Parliament in downtown Beirut to denounce the living conditions that the Lebanese are going through, while protesters blocked several roads in Beirut and its suburbs.

This afternoon, protesters blocked the international road at the junction of the town of Ras Baalbek in the northern Bekaa, and the Masnaa road in Rashaya in the town of Rafid with tires and stones, while protesters blocked the main road in the center of the city of Halba in Akkar, northern Lebanon, with obstacles to protest against the deteriorating living conditions.

The Halba al-Qobayat highway at the intersection of the town of Ammar al-Baikat was also cut off with non-burning tires and obstacles, causing a stifling traffic jam, as a result of which drivers forced to take the secondary roads.

In Aley, the international road was cut off at the crossroads of the town of Abadieh in the direction of Beirut, and in Al-Matn in the north-east of Beirut, the Nahr al-Mout road was completely cut, while leaving only one vehicle lane.

In Sidon, protesters set fire to tires at the Elia Junction Square, which obstructed traffic at the intersection, and in Marjayoun in southern Lebanon, the highway of Marjayoun, Hasbaya, at the tent triangle of Camel al-Saqi Marjayoun, was cut off with burning tires to protest the living conditions.

Since October 17, 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins to protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions and to demand the fight against corruption in the country.
