Syria strongly condemned the unlawful coercive measures taken by the United States and the European Union against Russia and renewed its solidarity with it in the face of arrogance and the hegemonic approach that governs US policy and its tools.

An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA today: The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the unlawful coercive measures taken by the United States and the European Union against the Russian Federation, which in principle contradict international law and constitute a flagrant violation of Russian internal affairs.

The source added that the Syrian Arab Republic reaffirms that the pressures exerted by the West through these measures in its continuous attempts to impose its policies on other countries are doomed to failure and will only lead to an escalation of tension and an atmosphere of instability in the international arena.

The source added that the Syrian Arab Republic, whose people suffer from economic terrorism as a result of illegal unilateral measures, renews its full solidarity with the friendly Russian Federation in the face of arrogance and the hegemonic approach that govern American policy and its tools. It also calls for the immediate lifting of such illegal measures and the restoration of international law in order to preserve peace and stability. In the world.
