The court has completed the case involving 4 people and will reopen at 2:30 pm to handle the remaining cases.

The first session of the hearing was originally scheduled to start at 10 a.m., and about 50 members of the public were waiting outside for the hearing, including Chen Jialuo and Tan Guoqiao, former vice chairman of the Chinese People's Association.

Tan Guoqiao said that according to the lawyer's understanding, it may not be possible to make a formal interrogation today, or request that the interrogation be postponed to provide more information for interrogation, and the defendants may continue to be remanded in custody.

He was unhappy about this and believed that whether bail or not would affect the final verdict of the case; he said that the defendants had strict bail conditions and did not understand why they were not allowed to be released on bail.

He also said that the current family members have not been able to confirm the defendant's situation. "A lot of them have not been able to do it. We must confirm the situation of the defendant first."
