The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized the use of a home test to detect COVID-19 that does not require a prescription or the sending of the swab to a laboratory.
It is produced by Cue Health and is of the molecular type.
It has been shown to correctly identify 96% of positive coronavirus samples from people with symptoms.
