Macabre discovery for the firefighters of Brest (Finistère), on the night of Friday to Saturday March 6.
While responding to suspicious fumes in an apartment building, they discovered the body of a man who had died long ago and was in a state of decomposition in an apartment.

Called shortly before 4 a.m., the firefighters arrived at 61 rue Massillon due to the release of smoke, and identified a fire on the first floor of the building, as reported by
Ouest-France
.
Three people were taken to hospital with intoxication, but their condition was not considered serious.
On the other hand, in one of the apartments which was the object of the intervention, the firefighters noted the presence of a body described as "
mummified
", and which would be that of a man who had been dead for several weeks or even several months.
The most recent letter found by the firefighters was dated April 2019. The operation mobilized 25 firefighters, and an investigation was opened into the fire, which according to the first findings would have started from an electric meter.
