At least 20 people were killed and about 500 people were injured today (Thursday) in a series of explosions at a military base in the city of Bata in Equatorial Guinea.
Local television reported that the explosions were caused by negligence related to the use of explosives in the facility.
Documents from the television networks showed medical teams and rescue teams working to remove the wounded from the rubble caused by the explosion.
A local health source said ambulances and rescue vehicles were filled with the injured, including children, who were evacuated to hospitals.
