Latakia and Hama-Sana
Elements of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Lattakia seized today a dairy and cheese manufacturing plant that uses powdered milk and vegetable butter to cheat in the manufacture of materials and operates without the necessary licenses.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the directorate stated that its personnel had organized the necessary seizures in the laboratory located in the city of Lattakia behind the train station and took samples for analysis and to find out their conformity with the standard specifications, and they closed the facility with red wax and referred the seizure to the competent court in the first place.
In Hama, the Consumer Protection Patrols in the Internal Trade Directorate organized 64 supply controls in bakeries for violations related to non-compliance with work schedules, production of poorly-made bread, lack of weight, and a number of accredited people for refraining from selling bread and selling at an excessive price and tampering with citizens' allocations via the electronic card.
The seizures also included violations of not announcing prices, possessing expired materials, and not granting regular invoices by wholesalers to retailers, as a number of closures were implemented for violating stores.
Directorate officers seized a warehouse containing 1040 bags of expired puffed corn, dye that is forbidden to be used in a citrus roastery, and a number of cases of fraud in the chicken kebab.
