Hummus-Sana
The first screening of the movie “Happens in Your Absence” in Homs had great privacy for the audience, as it tells a story supposed to take place in the city of Homs and is inspired by the realities of pain that the city's people suffered during the war.
The first feature film, directed by Saif El Din Subaie, takes place in one place and leaves room for the skill of actors. Yazan Khalil and Rabbi Zaarour tells about the suffering of individuals as a result of kidnappings, as events follow within the house in a dramatic plot that is not without suspense and excitement in some scenes.
After the screening of the film, he spoke to Sana's correspondent, film critic Nidal Qusha, indicating that the film tells about the consequences of psychological violence on the souls of human beings to achieve a goal beyond the normal story, and he confirms that we have nothing but love in this life that enables us to overcome difficult circumstances and continue for a better tomorrow.
In turn, a number of attendees saw, after the end of the screening, that the film touched the pain that afflicted every Syrian in one way or another as a result of the war, in an indirect symbolic manner.
It is noteworthy that the film was written by writer Samer Muhammad Ismail and produced by the General Cinema Organization and will be screened for three days at the Dar Al Thaqafa theater in Homs.
