A rare traffic accident occurred on Tai Po Highway this morning (7th). At about 11 am, a black Benz private car was driving along the Sha Tin Ridge section of Tai Po Highway towards Kowloon and approached the Caltex petrol station near Sha Tin Garden. Lost control and crashed into a white Toyota private car inside the petrol station.
After the two cars collided, the rush was not stopped, and Toyota rushed to the pillar of the petrol station.
At that time, the 52-year-old female employee surnamed Dong couldn't escape and was caught between Toyota and the pillar, unconscious.
Rescuers arrived at the scene to rescue the female staff. The female staff was injured in many places and was rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital by ambulance. She is in critical condition.
The front of the Benz involved was damaged, the rear of the Toyota was hit into a dent, and the pump handle was thrown off.
The pillars of the petrol station were also hit and deformed.
Police are investigating at the scene. A 28-year-old male driver surnamed Yu Benz passed an alcohol breath test. He was arrested on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm to others due to dangerous driving and is currently being detained for investigation.
A 54-year-old Toyota male driver surnamed Li was fortunate enough to assist the police in the investigation at the scene.
