A 29-year-old man drowned in the night from Saturday to Sunday March 7 in Rennes while trying to save a friend who had fallen into the water, AFP learned from firefighters.

Around 1 a.m., during a curfew, the firefighters were notified because a person fell in the Vilaine, not far from Roazhon Park, the stadium where the Rennes stadium is playing.
While the two friends "visibly returned from the evening", one fell into the water and the second "tried to look for him and finally died," Le Codis d'Ille-et- told AFP. Ugly.
The 26-year-old friend was evacuated to hospital with hypothermia but his life is not in danger, according to the same source.
