Police have arrested two suspects in the kidnapping of a nut fighter in the Shefar'am area last week.

This was reported tonight (Sunday) by the police spokesperson.

The incident caused a great stir in the country in general and in the IDF in particular.

According to the police, at the end of a complex and intensive investigation, the police of the Central Unit of the Northern District located the hiding place of the two suspects in the robbery and kidnapping of the soldier who was during a lone navigation exercise in the Haruvia forest near Shefar'am. 

The two suspects (25), residents of the village of Ivtin, were arrested inside a hiding apartment near the village of Zabidat with ammunition and tomorrow morning will be brought to the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth to discuss the police's request to extend their detention.
