Although the

coronavirus pandemic

still

prevents some entertainment activities or social gatherings from being carried out in closed places, in recent months Argentine society has been re-launching multiple items that had been stopped since March 2020, such as cinemas, recitals or outdoor sports.

But in the case of

traditionalist centers or clubs that organize clubs,

in much of the Greater Buenos Aires the permits are still on standby.

More than a year after the first case of Covid-19 in the country, the gauchos do not have permits to carry out their

traditional events,

horseback riding

or Creole parades

.

In the Buenos Aires municipality of Escobar, more than 150 riders together with their families decided to congregate to demand that protocols be organized to facilitate the return to their activities.

It was in the Plaza San Martín in that northern district of the GBA where they asked that the traditionalist centers begin to fulfill their

social, recreational, cultural and historical function again.

Different groups from the northern zone gathered in front of the Escobar municipality to demand a protocol for their activities.

The protesters, transported

In

horses, sulkys and carts, they

arrived at the center of the Buenos Aires town, along Eugenia Tapia de Cruz avenue and after touring the vicinity of the square they located in front of the Municipality.

The reason for the protest is the lack of permits to hold traditional events, being that almost all activities have it respecting health protocols.

There were also

parades to demonstrate

in the cities of

Matheu, Zárate, and they extended to the province of La Pampa

, which two days ago approved the sanitary protocol for rubo.

"There are many

people directly or indirectly affected

by this type of show, from entertainers, payadores, troopers, institutions, sound engineers, horsemen, pilcheros, who need to return to activity. We as referents have to give an answer to the people," he said. Lucio Lisantti, representative of the

Maschwitz Engineer Parcel.

To which he adds: "We are country people and we grew up knowing that our roots are all we have forever. And everything we do, the journeys, the parades, the encounters, are to highlight the sacrifice of our ancestors, of our older, who managed to build what we enjoy today. "

The town of Escobar is a district that has a lot of prominence in this type of event, which also makes it attractive for the rest of visitors on certain national dates or during the weekends that parades or Creole gatherings are organized.

But, throughout the summer these activities of the sector were totally suspended.

Camilo Blanco is 52 years old and is part of the organization

"Traditionalistas de Escobar"

.

He knows that the activities they organize generate joy in different parts of the town and explains that the only objective "is to have a good time and always keep in mind the traditions and culture of our country, which is so beautiful."

"Sometimes the lack of support pulls us back. But the commitment we have with our roots, and with traditions, is stronger, that is why we continue to advance. You have to think that it is a huge sacrifice many times to keep horses all year long, the feeding, the vet, the care ", explains Camilo.

For their part, sources from the Northern Commune confirmed that they are in talks to bring back the traditionalist parades on national dates, with a smaller number of people than there used to be so that the next

parade on May 25

can be held.

, as the first instance of return to public events.

As a first response, it was considered that since they are open-air and spaced events, these cultural activities will gradually resume in the city of Escobar, after a year without events or Creole parades.
