Shortly after the commemoration of a new International Women's Day, next Monday, a novelty in Morón shows something unusual, but that little by little is beginning to happen: in an environment like the Buenos Aires Police, where they are generally not seen Women in places of power, two of those who make up the force

were chosen to assume the leadership of two commissioners, who are not just any:

their jurisdictions are indicated as those with the

highest levels of insecurity

 in the Party.

Vanesa Díaz

assumed command of the

3rd section of Castelar Sur

, while

Juana Preciado

is in charge of the

4th section of Morón Sur

.

Both chosen not only for their ability, but for their extensive history in the force.

Díaz,

44

, started in the police 22 years ago,

at the head of Operation Sol. Then he went through six police stations in the South zone, which were from Temperley, José Mármol, Luis Guillón, Engineer Budge, El Jagüel and the conduction of the patrol from Esteban Echeverria, until arriving at the Echeverria police station.

In

2017, he was in charge of the section for Women and the Family in the Almirante Brown Party

, where, thanks to the commitment he showed when he pushed to fix the headquarters of that division,

he gained great affection from his colleagues and the community

.

Vanesa Diaz is the person in charge of the Castelar Sur section: her time at the Almirante Brown Women's Police Station is well remembered in that district.

Due to the poor building conditions in which the police station located in Andrade 98 was located, it attended to cases of gender violence in Burzaco, and based on a proposal of its own, the police themselves decided to get to work to improve the place.

Thanks to her and the work of her colleagues they

repaired and painted the walls, decorated the whole place and cleaned the background.

They even used their free hours to improve the environment.

The same police officers

said that it was important to improve the external

 and structural

appearance

due to the fact that at the time of taking the complaints it facilitates the process to find a more empowering environment for the victims.

Not only were there changes in the infrastructure, but also

thanks to Díaz they began to offer workshops to train the police force

and they also gave

talks in schools in the area

, with the aim of raising awareness among the youngest on gender issues.

At that time, the current Morón commissioner began to transcend and the Clarín Zonal in the South zone recounted her valued management in Almirante Brown.

The community's gratitude was so great that when Díaz was displaced last year to another sectional,

local entities and neighbors expressed their discontent

and asked for his reinstatement.

On the other hand,

 Juana Preciado

, 44 years old,

also started 24

years ago

in Operativo Sol. Her next strong steps were three years in the DDI of Pergamino, and then she went on to lead the DDI of Colón, until in 2012 she was shift manager at Baradero-San Pedro.

Juana Preciado was in charge of the Morón Sur police station, one of the most complicated in the area: she was already coming from Paso del Rey in Moreno, another hot zone.

Then she continued at the headquarters of

Exaltación de la Cruz

, until in 2016 she was transferred to

Pergamino

, where she spent three years until arriving in 2019 at the

Department of San Nicolás.

 In

2020 she was presented with her greatest challenge: to move from the provincial interior to the Conurbano,

as head of the 5th police station of Paso del Rey

, in Moreno, another area of the hottest in the West.

After that journey, he

reached the Morón police

.

"Vanesa had an excellent performance, she

showed an enormous commitment to her work

and when the authorities changed I asked her to come with us," Marcelo Peralta, head of the Police Station in that district, told Foreground.

"

Regarding Juana, I also rescued her functional capacity

, the work team with which she surrounds herself and we believe that she is a person according to the needs of a police station as important as Morón 4ta," added the head of the Police Station.
