Sana'a - Sana
The air defenses of the Yemeni army and the popular committees shot down today a spy plane for the Saudi aggression in Al-Jawf governorate in the north of the country.
Al Masirah Net quoted a spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, as saying in a statement that "the air defenses managed to shoot down a Turkish-made (Kariyal) fighter plane belonging to the Saudi Air Force."
He added that "the plane was shot down this afternoon with a suitable missile while it was carrying out hostile missions in the airspace of Al-Marazeeq area in Al-Jawf governorate."
The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against the Yemeni people since March 2015, leaving tens of thousands of victims and massive destruction of the country's infrastructure.
