According to the customs, some sellers have set up special pages on online platforms, claiming that they can directly pick up goods from foreign suppliers and sell counterfeit goods in the Mainland under the pretence of purchasing agents, including leather goods and sports shoes.

In the first half of 2020, the customs has detected 3 similar cases and seized about 1,300 suspected counterfeit items with a market value of more than 1.5 million yuan.

The other method is live online, that is, to promote a large number of counterfeit items for a limited time.

In September 2020, the Customs first detected a case involving the "live delivery of goods" technique and seized more than 2,000 suspected counterfeit ornaments with a market value of about 100,000 yuan.

According to Wang Zhixian, the commander of the Crime Investigation Team for Copyright and Trademark Technology, people who sell counterfeit goods under the guise of purchasing agents claim to be able to pick up goods directly from foreign suppliers or set up their own teams to purchase goods in Europe and the United States, and falsely claim that the goods they buy are the original source of goods. , There are single boxes.

Some sellers said that they are selling VIP goods, and they also price the goods at 60 to 70% of the original goods, advertised preferential prices or "happy prices" to attract buyers.

Using the epidemic as an excuse to refuse to

hand in person to Wang Zhixian, continue to point out that the live broadcast of the goods will be used for a limited time promotion or "flash" to attract consumers to join and achieve the promotional effect.

The live delivery of goods is mainly carried out at night, each time about 2 to 3 hours.

In order to avoid law enforcement officers, some sellers will even conduct it in the middle of the night, which lasts as long as 5 to 6 hours.

There are also sellers at dusk to increase exposure.

During the process, if the buyer sees the desired item, he can leave a message and the seller will contact him later.

In terms of delivery, some people used the epidemic as an excuse to refuse to deliver the goods in person and instead deliver them by courier companies.

Some sellers need to mention that they can be handed in person, and the buyer will first place a deposit, and then refuse to meet after the number, and switch to express delivery, so that the buyer cannot check the goods on the spot, and will be deceived after receiving the goods.
