Members of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Lattakia seized today in a bakery in Jableh countryside, a secret passage for smuggling flour, next to which is a warehouse containing 1,200 kilograms of food flour and a car containing 400 bread bundles for trafficking on the black market.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Latakia, Samer Al-Sousi, explained in a statement to SANA that while the directorate’s personnel were carrying out their duties, the corridor was discovered, the flour confiscated, and the violator was referred to the Criminal Security Department to follow up the investigations. The violator is duly transferred to the competent court.
