They liven up old songs and give new ones a touch of nostalgia: Singer Saralinda and the band Headlights from Au.
Au / Hallertau
- It's a voice that could have come from Nashville and yet has its origin in the middle of the Hallertau.
As a loose homage to an early Emmylou Harris with folk and country borrowings, the Auer singer Saralinda convinces with passion and a good portion of singer-songwriter qualities.
She has been writing songs for five years
It all started with cover songs - works from the old and new America songbook from Creedence Clearwater Revival to Alanis Morissette.
The quartet around the 30-year-old has been around since 2018, always with a tendency towards the grand ole opry sound and subtle folk nuances.
Saralinda has also been writing her own songs for five years, demonstrating a high affinity for melodic country with poetry.
Her “You and me” outlines longing shadows and gallantly plays with the high cross-references of the scene - the vocal masterpiece with a unique selling point stands out.
They are road songs for a shimmering trip through the Hallertau, bathing pond sounds for a long summer evening.
The "Waiting for nothing" is a fine number with radio hit quality, and here too it has to be noted: Your band headlights congenially paint their vocal nuances.
According to the educator from Au, the fun of the performances should definitely remain a priority, and as soon as it is possible again, the formation wants to get back on stage as soon as possible.
So far, for example, they have been able to prove themselves at open stages or smaller performance opportunities.
And actually they should have played at the Freisinger Uferlos Festival last year, but Corona got in their way.
Maybe a phonogram will come out too
They are well positioned for a longer concert, because the setlist spans a wide range of their own favorite songs plus more and more of their own songs.
But Saralinda was also able to make good use of her absence from the stage: She is currently working on new songs in the home studio.
It is still in the stars whether or not a sound carrier will be released.
Or as Saralinda puts it: "Look ma moi!"
The band Headlights shines through their love of detail: Michael on guitar and vocals, Jeremias on bass and vocals and Joel on percussion.
With their virtuosity they liven up old songs and add a touch of nostalgia to new ones: the perfect mix for a summer concert.
