In terms of administration, the municipalities of Anzing, Forstinning and Forstern have been working together for many years when it comes to the supply of drinking water.

Now a technical merger is also imminent.

Anzing / Forstinning / Forstern

- The existing water pipes of the former supplier Anzing / Forstinning on the one hand and Forstern on the other hand will be connected to each other.

And not only that: In the area of Forstinning in particular, major work will soon be carried out on a completely new 300 water pipe to replace the aging system.

The imminent construction of a combined water pipeline for the three municipalities mentioned will start on Tuesday, March 23, with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony at 1 p.m. at the pressure booster system in Aitersteinering.

The civil engineering work will be completed in autumn this year, according to a press conference at the Forst Nord water supply office in Anzing yesterday.

2.6 kilometers of lines will be installed

"Over a length of approx. 2.6 kilometers, running in Mühldorfer Straße in Forstinning via Aitersteinering and parallel to the old B 12 in the cycle path to Neupullach, a new composite water line is being laid," said association head Rupert Ostermair.

The integration into the existing supply network takes place at the height of the town center at the former Huber-Wirt (road to Moos) and in the field path in Neupullach.

"This also means that road crossings are required in several areas of the road thanks to the new composite water pipe," said Ostermair, who is also Forstinnning's mayor.

The measure primarily serves to further increase the security of supply in the association area.

The top priority is and will remain to leave the drinking water supply in municipal hands in the long term, so Ostermair.

Group of four wells

The construction work starts in the Huber-Wirt area.

Then the construction site moves in the direction of Aitersteinering and on to Neupullach.

In the end there will be a technical connection between the two Anzinger wells and the two Forsterner wells.

The fact that in the end four wells would supply the drinking water for the three municipalities makes the overall situation safer and more flexible, says Thomas Grögler.

In advance, the plant manager added, the miscibility of the Forsterner and Anzing / -Forstinninger waters had been checked and confirmed.

That was, so to speak, a basic requirement for the line-related merger.

Traffic obstructions during the construction period

It is planned to set up partial or full closures of the roads affected during the civil engineering work.

Any detours would be signposted accordingly.

However, considerable restrictions and disruptions in road traffic can be expected.

A positive side effect: between Huber-Wirt and the end of the town near Aitersteinering, the roadway on Mühldorfer Straße will be completely re-tarred.

In addition, final talks will take place with the future building contractor, the district of Ebersberg, so Ostermair yesterday.
