Olching / Geiselbullach
- moments of shock on the very young Sunday: At around 2 a.m. there was a fire in an apartment in Geiselbullach.
The residents of the apartment building on Oberanger were woken up by smoke detectors and found fire and smoke in the apartment on the top floor.
As the fire brigade reports, all other residents were able to leave the house independently.
The resident of the apartment on fire was taken to hospital by the emergency services with smoke poisoning
Rescue workers from the Geiselbullach fire brigade, supported by colleagues from Esting and Olching, came to the source of the fire with breathing apparatus.
The fire could be fought quickly with the help of two extinguishing pipes.
However, the post-extinguishing work dragged on for several hours, as the roof had to be taken up in some places and several ceilings in order to reach hidden embers.
The apartment was completely destroyed in the fire.
By using a smoke protection curtain on the apartment door, it was possible to limit the spread of smoke to the affected residential unit. There was considerable damage to the building.
The approximately 60 emergency services of the fire brigades were able to end the mission around 6.30 a.m.
