Eli Rosenberg's father, the new owner of El Al, immigrated to Israel today.
The American billionaire who today also became an Israeli immigrated to Israel on an El Al flight that landed this afternoon.
Kenny Rosenberg is known as one of the richest Jews in the United States and recently, as mentioned, his son Eli Rosenberg, a young yeshiva student from Jerusalem, purchased the largest airline in Israel.
In recent months, quite a few questions have arisen around the fact that Kenny Rosenberg is an American who is supposed to influence the airline he owns.
Kenny Rosenberg's associates declined to comment on the matter, but confirmed the details.
It is important to emphasize that in order to own an Israeli airline, it is mandatory to be an Israeli citizen.
Kenny Rosenberg's son, Eli, is an Israeli citizen who also made aliyah a few years ago.
Following the acquisition of the company by the ultra-Orthodox businessman, El Al is expected to continue on the traditional line that the company will not operate flights on Saturday.
The Sun Dor subsidiary is also expected to stop operating flights on Saturdays, thus making EL AL an almost complete Sabbath-keeping company.
El Al presented today the outline of the green flights according to which passengers will perform rapid corona tests with results within 15 minutes before boarding the plane.
The first flight was a flight from Ben Gurion Airport to New York. The Minister of Transportation and the CEO of El Al arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in honor of the event.
