Her name is Myriame and was born this Monday morning in front of the Ris-Orangis-Bois de l'Epine station, thanks to the intervention of two police crews.
Taken to the maternity ward of the Center hospitalier Sud Ile-de-France (CHSF) in Corbeil-Essonnes after uttering her first cry, the little girl is doing like a charm.
“We were called around 6:40 am, explains Virginie, one of the police officers who helped the mother give birth in the street.
The witness told us that a pregnant woman was lying on the ground in front of the station.

The police did not expect this
At first, the police think of intervening for an assault.
It is when they arrive there that they discover that the young woman is about to give birth.
“My colleague Sébastien's crew arrived first,” continues the policewoman.
It was he who notified the emergency services.
"
When Virginie arrives, Sébastien prefers to hand over the baton to her.
“I told myself that a mother would find it easier to find the right gestures,” he explains.
So I left my place for her, while continuing to reassure the mother.

Without epidural, the young woman suffers martyrdom.
“I stood in front of her and thought about the advice I received during my last childbirth,” continues Virginie.
It was in 2012. ”The policewoman places her on her back, folds her legs and, calling on her memory, gives her advice on how to breathe better.
The birth is imminent ... "The collar was open," continues the official.
I saw the baby's hair.
My colleagues gave me survival blankets and put a sheet around her to protect her from prying eyes.
And the baby was born when the fire department arrived.

Supported by the emergency services, the mother and her baby are warmed up in the vehicle which will take them to the CHSF maternity hospital in Corbeil-Essonnes.
In the haste, the father who was there but who was following the scene from afar, is forgotten on the spot.
"The father was in front of the station, without means of transport," continues Virginie.
Sébastien therefore drove him home to collect some things and drop him off in front of the CHSF.
A few minutes later, he sent us a photo of little Myriame in a sleeping bag.
We are delighted, it's a very beautiful day, it changes our usual interventions.
