The interview of Prince Harry and his wife, Megan Merkel with Oprah Winfrey, is currently airing on CBS in the United States.
The conduct of the revealing interview shocked the British kingdom and provoked criticism in the royal family of the prince and his wife, who had left their royal office.
In her opening remarks, Merkel said that when she married Prince Harry in 2018, she was "naive" and did not know why she was entering.
She stressed that the two did not receive payment for conducting the interview.
Merkel said the turning point in her relationship with the media in the UK was due to rumors that she had made the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, the wife of Crown Prince William.
Merkel claims that the rumors were not true and that it was Kate who made her cry.
Merkel added that she was disappointed that Kate did not deny the rumors.
