The Labor Party in Britain today (Monday) called on the palace to investigate allegations of racism after the interview of Prince Harry and his wife Megan Merkel, which is stirring the kingdom.

Merkel said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a member of the royal family has raised "concerns" about the skin color of their son, Prince Archie.

Merkel, who was born to a black mother and a white father, refused to say who exactly in the family addressed the issue, so that "his name would not be harmed, it would do him a lot of damage."

However, Winfrey stressed that it was not Queen Elizabeth or her husband Prince Philip, Harry's grandparents.

"It is very sad to see the royal family in such a storm," said Kir Stammer, the leader of Labor, the largest party in the opposition.

He said it was a bigger issue than just the royal family.

"The issues of racism and mental health raised by Megan are very serious. It is a reminder that too many people are experiencing racism in Britain in the 21st century. We must take this very seriously."

According to him, no one should be judged only by his skin color or mental state.

He added that the issues had been pushed aside for too many years.

A spokesman for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson declined to comment on allegations made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who had resigned earlier this year, saying Johnson had not watched the interview.

The Conservative government has not yet given an official response on the matter.

Government Children's Minister Vicky Ford said she did not watch the interview, but added that "there is no room for racism in our society and we all need to work together to stop it."

During an interview with CBS, which many have been waiting for for weeks, Merkel described how she developed suicidal thoughts due to difficulties with the royal family.

"I begged for help from the family, I said I was worried about my mental state, but they did not help me. I did not want to live."

She described how she approached Buckingham Palace staff on the subject.

"I will not forget this conversation, they said 'our heart is with you, because we see how bad the situation is, but we can do nothing because you do not work for the wages of the kingdom.'"

Prince Harry has criticized the fact that the family did not come out against "racist articles" written against Merkel, a United States citizen.

He said he and his wife did not receive help from the royal family.

"We left because we did not receive support or understanding."

He said his father, Prince Charles, at one point refused to talk to him on the phone, expressing his desire to leave the kingdom.

"We had two phone calls before he stopped answering. He suggested I write to him instead."

Harry added that he had talked to his grandmother several times and said he had done nothing behind her back, "I have too much respect for her".
