The victims were exploited in six massage parlor and skin care businesses that would operate under fictitious people's names, where the network allegedly offered sexual services in Ventura, Riverside and San Bernandino counties in California, according to the statement.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the detainees were funneling some of the money through a clothing store to pretend legal gain, according to the statement.

The capture of two more suspects is still pending, one of whom would be in Mexico.

Those arrested have been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, human trafficking, pimping and lenocination.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

Until this Saturday, the detainees remained deprived of liberty in the Ventura County jail, on bail ranging from US $ 20,000 to US $ 200,000, after pleading not guilty at a hearing held in court this week, according to records from the Superior Court of California reviewed by CNN.

Those captured will have to appear before a judge again between March 8 and March 16, according to records.
