Italy has crossed the 100,000 death mark from the Corona virus, after recording 318 new cases during the past twenty-four hours.
AFP quoted the Italian Ministry of Health as saying that the total number of deaths reached one hundred thousand, one hundred and three deaths, pointing out that the number of injuries in the country rose to 3081368 after 13,902 new injuries were recorded.
The regions most affected by the virus in Italy are Lombardy, in the north of the country, with nearly 30,000 deaths, followed by Emilia Romagna, with about 11,000 deaths, then Piedmont in the northwest and Veneto in the northeast, each with nearly ten thousand deaths.
Italy comes second in the death toll from the virus in Europe, after Britain, and seventh in the world.
