The Media Preparation Institute started today a news editing course for a number of employees of the Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, with the aim of developing skills and increasing the efficiency of the cadres working in it.
The director of the institute, Hanaa Deeb, stated in a statement to SANA that the course extends for three weeks and includes a set of practical applications on modern methods of press editing, whether in the formulation of news or news reports, indicating that the number of participants reached 18 editors and translators as part of the agency's plan to keep pace with the training and qualification of its cadres.
In a similar context, the institute started yesterday to implement the media qualification diploma program, as Deeb explained that the duration of the program is six months, at a rate of three days a week, and includes a program of lectures in legislation, the arts of press editing, media education, preparation axis, press reporter, advertising and public relations, in addition to training axes on the art of speech and broadcast presentation. Television, photography, lighting, montage and directing.
Deeb pointed out that the Media Qualification Diploma also includes a practical training program in the various local media, which will be after the completion of each axis, in addition to specialized lectures given by specialized experts who have practical experience in each media field.
