Participants in the dialogue meeting on the national campaign, the Syrian Family Days, launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, called for intensifying efforts to enhance the role of the family in society and advance it by paying attention to family ties and the role of the individual in the family and thus the role of the family in building society.
Participants in the meeting held at the Al-Assad National Library today suggested forming committees at the governorate level to raise awareness of the importance of the family and its cohesion and fight modern liberal ideas that seek to demolish the concept of the family in society and establish activities that focus on the ethical and cognitive aspect, noting the importance of the work of NGOs in the developmental field to support the young generation And fortify them intellectually and morally.
In their interventions, a number of participants pointed out the importance of working to address the causes of family disintegration, both economic and social, and to activate family reform centers and reform the same in order to reduce the phenomenon of divorce and support women due to the importance of their role in human development.
In his speech during the meeting, the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Muhammad Abd Al-Sattar Al-Sayed stressed the importance of working to confront modern liberalism that seeks to dismantle the family from the inside, stressing the importance of moral values, parentage, charity and other religious values that are concerned with the smaller circles within society.
Al-Sayed pointed out that modern liberalism is working on striking society, cohesion of the family and demolishing its moral function, which everyone must cooperate to protect and work responsibly to moral fortify society and confront the penitential and terrorist war to which Syria is exposed.
For her part, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Salwa Al-Abdullah, explained that the campaign aims to strengthen the role of the family in the present and future of Syria, noting that the Syrian family is exposed to targeting its members, their way of thinking and their behavior, to prevent them from performing their function in society.
Al-Abdullah called for concerted efforts to support the campaign and to establish activities that focus on showing the role of the family in building man and his safety, building his moral hierarchy, enhancing belonging to the family and society, and thus strengthening its role in combating the targeting against Syria in all its forms and the repercussions of the terrorist war that Syria is exposed to.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi and its countryside, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, Assistant Minister of Local Administration and Environment Luay Mapah, and President of the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs, Dr. Akram Al-Qash.
On the second of this month, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor launched the national campaign “Syrian Family Days”, which will continue until the end of this month.
